Magnetic Compass

The compass has 8 directions- North, East, South, West, North-East, North-West, South- East and South-West. And there are 90 degrees between each direction starting at magnetic north or zero degrees. The needle of the compass always points towards the north.   It is one of the most important instrument that help a pilot in making out the direction in which his aircraft is flying so that the pilot is never lost.
