Twinkle Khanna, daughter of the Late Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, was born with a silver spoon, whereas, Akshay Kumar had to struggle his way through to earn his living. He was a waiter in Bangkok before making it big in the industry, but once he entered the glamour industry, there was no looking back for him.

First Meeting!
Both of them first met for a photo shoot of Filmfare magazine. Just one meeting and Akki had completely fallen for the gorgeous lady.
The photo shoot set the two on the right path leading to a beautiful journey. But it was only during the shoot of their film ‘International Khiladi’ when Cupid struck.

Akshay has had a list of controversial affairs in the past and had dated the most glamorous girls in his career, but when he met Twinkle, he had his eyes set on her. There was no way he was going to let her go.

Marriage Condition!
After dating for a few years, Akki popped up the obvious question to Twinkle but surprisingly, Twinkle had a feeling of doubt. She was at the peak of her career and in no mood to settle down. Hence, she laid down a condition that if her then next film ‘Mela’ with Aamir Khan fails at the box office, then she would marry him. All to his luck, ‘Mela’ was a major box office failure, and Twinkle had no choice but to marry Akshay.

Reports suggest that Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna were engaged twice before getting married. Yes, it is said that Akshay and Twinkle’s first engagement was called off for unknown reason and Twinkle was extremely heartbroken then. But, when finally, everything fell in place, Akshay and Twinkle exchanged rings, once again before getting married.
Finally, after overcoming all the barriers, Akshay and Twinkle tied the knot on January 17, 2001. It was a low key affair at Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s residence. Hardly 50 people from the Bollywood industry were a part of their celebration. Now, they are proud parents of two adorable kids.
