5 PLACES YOU SHOULD NOT MISS IN THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER

Winters are just around the corner as the month of November is knocking on the door and if you are planning for a trip in the month of November, then here are few suggestions from my side. You should not miss these 5 places in the month of November.

1. Varanasi

One of the most important pilgrimage sites in India, Varanasi has a number of temples, the Buddhist pilgrimage Sarnath and the adjacent towns of Chunar and Ramnagar. One can spend weeks exploring the temples on the ghats.

2. Bharatpur

Cycling early morning through the grasslands of Keoladeo with morning sun filtering through the leaves, sitting by the side of wetlands watching birds in action, kingfisher pouncing on its prey or a flock of cranes flying over your head or may be colorful barbet busy making groove on the trunk of some tree for roasting.

3. Gulmarg

The country’s premier, and possibly only bonafide ski resort town, Gulmarg and its pine-fringed meadows encircled by Mount Apharwat and surrounding snow-capped mountains have been part of popular culture and Bollywood since aeons.

4. Sunderbans

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Sunderbans National Park is a sprawling tangle of mangrove swamp and is the only one of its kind in the world.

5. Bodh Gaya

Buddhism is not only a religion but a way of living for many. Home to a number of monasteries and temples, Gaya is among those few places in the world where one can experience all the color of Buddhist culture and traditions. Among several interesting things to do in Gaya, experiencing Buddhism by living among the monks inside a monastery is one of the favorite activities of travelers visiting the land of Buddha.
