REMEMBERING THE GOOD OLD DAYS

Sometimes I wish those days of mine had never gone off . I wish if I were small again and still be that same girl who was happy with her buddies  enjoying life completely with no tensions and roaming about here and there now and then. I wish I could go back to that time when it was easy to smile and your heart was fully free to do whatever you wish to do. Becoming young and reaching higher level of position in your life comes with more responsibilities to handle with certain restrictions. You start to think before choosing or deciding upon something when you are young and your parents keep telling you always “beta ab tum bade ho gaye ho”. Sometimes its irritating because you just can’t do what you wish for.

When I sit back peacefully at times, I remember those fights with my sister on small things, continuously talking to my friends on phone, making outdoor plans without even prior notice of it, birthdays we used to celebrate, making birthday cards and all those activities which gave me the moments to cherish and of course my beautiful memories to me.

Now as of now when I am in my post-graduation, all these moments have lost somewhere. Getting young means getting sincere towards your career. You have to think about your earning money, getting yourself a highly well settled job, taking care of your parents etc and as for girls the biggest mountain that falls on their  head is getting married. Now hardly anybody has time to visit their friends or even chill out. I wish those days of mine would never had passed but the truth is life goes on and so have to i . Memories are memories only, which you can just hide in your heart and keep them safe forever.

There is one touching song by Judy Collins whose lyrics I would like to share with you all

Sometimes I remember the old days

When the world was filled with sorrow

You might have thought I was living but I was all alone

In my heart the rain was falling

The wind blew, the night was calling

Come back, come back, I'm all you've ever known

Open the door and come on in

I'm so glad to see you, my friend

You're like a rainbow, coming around the bend

And when I see you happy

Well, it sets my heart free

I'd like to be as good a friend to you, as you are to me

There were friends who could always see me

Through the haze their smiles would reach me

Saying okay, saying goodbye, saying hello

Soon I knew just what I was after

Was life and love, tears and laughter

Hello, my good friend

Hello, my darling

What do you know

Open the door and come on in

I'm so glad to see you, my friend

You're like a rainbow, coming around the bend

And when I see you happy

Well, it sets my heart free

I'd like to be as good a friend to you, as you are to me

I used to think it was only me feeling alone

Not feeling free to be alive to be a friend

Now I know we all have stormy weather

The sun shines through when we're together

I'll be your friend, right through to the end

Open the door and come on in

I'm so glad to see you, my friend

You're like a rainbow, coming around the bend

And when I see you happy

Well, it sets my heart free

I'd like to be as good a friend to you, as you are to me

Open the door and come on in

I'm so glad to see you, my friends

You're all like rainbows, coming around the bend

And when I see you happy

Well, it sets my heart free

I'd like to be as good a friend to you, as you are to me
