EGYPT MUMMIES, EVER WONDERED YOU?

Ancient Egyptians believed in the Life After Death and that resulted in the theory of Mummies and Mummification. The process of preparing mummies is called mummification.

Mummies are the bodies of dead people that are preserved. They do not decompose even long years after death whereas the normal body gets decomposed within days. Ancient Egyptians used to spend a lot of money on the mummification. They used to save money for their mummification. They believed that after death they will move to different world in which they lead a new life and so they used to bury all the things that the particular person loves along with his body. Mummification is the long process which takes almost 70 days. While mummification all the organs of the body are remove except heart as they believe that heart is the centre of Intelligence and Emotions.

They also believed that if a pharaoh’s (king’s) body could be mummified then they could have a life forever. The pharaoh’s mummies are carefully preserved in stone tombs called pyramids. That’s how the pyramids were constructed.
