GROUP OBSTACLE RACE/ SNAKE RACE

GOR is a competition with other groups. So to win, a candidate must vividly and attentively understand what GTO briefs to the groups. The group obstacle race is in the form of an intergroup race and each group     has to carry a snake type thing or a spider web while crossing the obstacles.

GOR reflects the PHYSICAL STAMINA, FEARLESSNESS, CO-OPERATION, HARMONY AND TEAM SPIRIT PERSONALITY TRAITS IN THE CANDIDATES.

GTO's Briefing for Group Obstacle Race


 Till now you have been working within your own group but in the GOR you will be having a competition with the other groups. This task consists of 6 obstacles, each obstacle is divided into 4 channels, you will be told which channel to follow throughout in this task. Your group have to also carry a load the load is in form of a rolled up tent and since it looks like a snake the task is also known as snake race, The group rule, color rule and rule of infinity are applicable to this task, however the distance rule is modified in a sense that the candidates are permitted to Jump more than 4 feet.

Following are the Six obstacles in the Group Obstacle Race;


A)    Ramp and Jump.

B)    Snake jump.

C)    Spider web.

D)    Crossing the double wall.

E)    Crossing the high wall.

F)    Ramp and slide.
